The workshop lead by Satya Kaur will have a theoretical and a practical aspects, self-help experience as well as help other.
Theory: the origins of the Red Tent tradition, patriarchal roots, where did we go wrong, claim our rights, the role of rituals, the purpose of the Red Tent and what it is not, how to succeed and sustain a tent. Solidarity versus competition, unity versus isolation, appreciation versus judgment, intimacy versus taboos.
Practice: Experiencing a range of appropriate activities to a red tent space, ideas, sensibilities, focus, directories, menarche initiations, check-ins, sensitivity, relaxation, sing, dance, celebrate.
Saturday: Self-Initiation; Acceptance of our own Femininity;
Sunday: Tools needed to guide and facilitate an open space where there is growth, and total acceptance.
Daily: 10am – 6pm (1h lunch)
The workshops are open only to women over 18 years old.
Arrival time/welcoming for students: between 11am and 7pm. If your flight arrives after 5pm please considerer to stay that night in Lisbon.
As part of a community experience you are expected to contribute a couple of hours each day to the maintenance of the Ashram.
Our Ashram is a non-smoking. The cooking is vegan.
Accommodation is in shared dormitories (or possibly tents in the summer).
