Quinta do Rajo is 48 Kms from Lisbon, on the road that connects Sintra to Ericeira- EN247.
The village of Santa Susana does not display in most GPS units. Consider inserting `Pobral` instead, the village directly north of us.
Coming from Lisbon
take the IC19 (after the 2nd Circular Road) towards Sintra.
After passing the exit of Mem Martins, take the A16 (exit towards Mafra / Ericeira).
Keep going for 2 minutes more and you will find the exit to “Mafra, Pero Pinheiro, Lourel, Praias”. Take it.
When you reach a roundabout turn left following signs to Terrugem and Ericeira and soon afterwards turn immediately right.
You will come to a roundabout with a petrol station Galp on the right side, turn to the right towards Ericeira, taking now the EN247. You are now in Terrugem.
After Odrinhas and Alvarinhos, you will come to Santa Susana, i.e. 10mns on the EN247..
Right after the entrance sign at Santa Susana, you will pass a restaurant on your right- Gemeos, and after a palm tree you will see a little road to your right. Follow the signs Quinta do Rajo and you’re here!
Lisbon to Quinta do Rajo approximately 45 minutes by car.
Coming from the north of Portugal
Take the A8 towards Lisbon.
Pay attention and take the exit for Mafra and Ericeira.
Then follow the A21 all the way to Ericeira.
You will come to a roundabout, take the exit to Ericeira.
Follow that exit up to a T junction.
Already in Ericeira, turn left onto EN247, Sintra direction.
After passing the towns of Foz do Lizandro, Carvoeira, Baleia and Pobral you reach Santa Susana.
Towards the end of the village of Santa Susana, there is a small supermarket on your left, called “Paulo e Cidália”. Turn left as if for the supermarket and follow the signs to Quinta do Rajo.
