What is an Ashram?
An Ashram is a spiritual community usually located in nature which encourages its members to grow in consciousness.
A spiritual leader offers the needed guidance for training and overcoming all manners of challenges arising in the community life.
The members of the Ashram live simple lives and their skills, abilities and devotion have a direct influence on the vibration of the place.
With dedication, ashrams can become bigger centers opening themselves to new spiritual practitioners, who also follow the path of yoga. The Ashram leaders have an important role, helping the members to expand and grow.
The 3HO Community (Healthy,Happy, Holy) is an international community sharing the teachings of Kundalini Yoga as taught by Yogi Bhajan, the founder of this very community.
Teachers, students and interested people share a similar lifestyle and ideals.
It is based on healthy lifestyle (including a vegetarian diet), on the Sikh philosophy and on a regular practice of Kundalini yoga and meditation.
The poetic philosophy of the Guru Granth Sahib and the practical way to address life, based on the teachings of Guru Nanak and Guru Gobind Singh, are also part of this community guide.
