Established in March 2013, Associação Ram Dass Guru (ARDG) is a non-profit organization started in order to promote the teaching and practice of Kundalini Yoga (KY) in Portugal. Through free classes, Kundalini Yoga is taught to disadvantaged groups that otherwise would not be able to access this practice.
Since the beginning, ARDG has offered scholarships for Kundalini Yoga teachers trainings, both nationally and internationally, particularly to students from African countries.
In 2015 ARDG took a huge step forward to take responsibility for managing the Eco-Ashram of Quinta do Rajo. In this context, ARDG receives volunteers (sevadars) from different countries and demonstrates the viability of a yogic, sustainable and community lifestyle. ARDG provides hospitality in this Ashram to anyone looking for a welcoming environment, self-renewal and discipline.
In the Ashram, ARDG also provides macrobiotic meals:
According to the availability of human resources and as per the needs found in the Community, ARDG also promotes other recreational, cultural and sporting activities.
